The Nikon D5000 is a 12.3 megapixel DX format digital SLR camera announced in April 2009. Nikon D5000 has many features in common with Nikon D90. It is the second Nikon digital SLR camera with movie mode. Like D90, movies shot at 720p are limited to 5 minutes duration. The Nikon D5000 lacks an in-body autofocus motor and only Nikon autofocus lenses or compatible can be used in autofocus mode. (The sample photos were from Nikon official site.)
